Health message for Friday, Mar 28: Unusually sensitive people should
consider limiting prolonged or heavy exertion.

Synopsis and Discussion
There were a few less "Moderate" readings for PM10 on Wednesday and
Ozone levels dropped back into the "Good" category thanks to some
afternoon winds out of the west the mixed the atmosphere up a bit. High
pressure still remains over the forecast area but will weaken slightly
through Saturday. This means that afternoon desert temperatures will
drop a degree or so each day during the period, remaining mostly in the
mid 80s. Occasional clouds will slide across the region from time to
time ahead of an approaching disturbance that will push through northern
Arizona on Sunday. There will be no rain here in the Valley, but winds
could increase a bit during the late afternoon through the overnight
hours. This could be good enough to once again mix out any accumulating
ozone and precursors while clearing out some of the particulates that
become suspended under the near-stagnant conditions between now and
then. We can expect to see Particulates increase over the next couple
of days as well as Ozone. However, all pollutants should remain well
below Heath Watch and High Pollution Advisory criteria. Check back
tomorrow for the latest on your weekend outlook. Have a good day!
