Health message for Wednesday, Mar 26: Unusually sensitive people should
consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
Synopsis and Discussion
Pretty much a steady-state weather regime the next few days as westerly
flow aloft from the Pacific - equator-ward of the Polar Front jet and
main storm track - persists over the local forecast area. Gradients
aloft will contribute to breezy afternoon winds at times each day that
will take the edge off the a.m. air mass stagnation and sharp inversions
and provide very good dispersion. Particle pollutant concentrations are
expected to remain below the mid-moderate range of the Air Quality
Index, while local ozone levels may reach into the low-moderate range on
Wednesday, aided by an anticipated influx of precursors from California
on low-level westerly winds. -Reith
