Synopsis and Discussion
The models haven't changed much in the last 24 hours. We can still
expect afternoon desert temperatures to be in the 80s under mostly sunny
skies with relatively light winds through the weekend and into the early
part of next week. This means that no rain is expected which will allow
the ground to continue to dry out and particles to pool up within the
Valley. So far we are only seeing concentrations in the low part of the
"Moderate" range at one local monitor. Several other sites should start
to record such readings over the next couple days as there will be no
major frontal systems to blow the pollution out of the area. For now,
we are not expected any unhealthy levels. However, keep checking back
daily for any changes or unexpected deterioration of the Phoenix
forecast area's air quality. Have a good day! -J.Paul
