Health message for Wednesday, Mar 5: Unusually sensitive people should
consider limiting prolonged exertion outdoors.

Synopsis and Discussion
Another disturbance will dive southeast through the Four Corners region
on Thursday. Winds will increase a bit on Wednesday ahead of the
system, and afternoon desert temperatures will drop into the low 70s on
Thursday as the disturbances pushes through the area. Quickly exiting
on Friday, temperatures will recover to the upper 70s with much lighter
winds. 80s will be the rule through the weekend as high pressure over
the west coast edges east to include Arizona. Particulates will
increase Wednesday in the Phoenix forecast area to the mid "Moderate"
range, dropping back a bit when the system moves out on Friday. Mixing
heights are increasing now that Spring is approaching. Thus, Fine
Particulates will not accumulate as readily as they did during the
cooler winter months. On the other hand, Ozone levels are now beginning
to creep up. We've got our eyes on it all, so check back tomorrow for
the latest. Have a good day! -J.Paul
