Health message for Monday, Feb 25: No health impacts expected.

Health message for Tuesday, Feb 26: Unusually sensitive people should
consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.

Synopsis and Discussion
Latest local ACARS sounding data indicates that the best mixing depth
over the metro area this afternoon will be near 4800' and that
dispersion is MARGINAL with a light and variable transport wind speed.
A strong and large upper level ridge will begin building over the state
on Tuesday; current forecasts call for 10+ degrees F of warming aloft in
the 5K-10K' layer by Wednesday afternoon and about 7 degrees F at the
surface. This, combined with stronger morning inversions, should result
in an increase in stagnation of the Valley air mass and an upswing in
trapped particle pollutant concentrations. Even so, highest levels are
not expected to exceed the mid-moderate range of the Air Quality Index
thru this forecast period. -Reith
