Synopsis and Discussion

Clouds continue to build each day along the Mogollon Rim, but a dry,
westerly flow keeps the storms moving east away from the Valley. High
pressure is having a very difficult time exerting its strength and
remaining anchored near the Four Corners region. It looks like we could
be without rain for at least another week as there will be little chance
in the weather pattern.

Air quality was in the "Good" range again on Monday. It's possible that
we will see high Ozone concentrations the next several days as we will
have plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures, approaching 108 degrees
with dewpoints dropping into the low to mid 50s. The far east part of
the Valley will likely be the recipients of the highest level under this
westerly flow. Particulates may also begin to edge up slightly as the
ground continues to dry out. It's not out of the question to see
another Health Watch or even an HPA by the end of the week. Check back
tomorrow for the latest. Have a good day! -J.Paul
