Synopsis and Discussion
A PM-10 HEALTH WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 06
Increasingly unsettled weather is underway as moisture from Hurricane
Henriette approaches from the south. Unfortunately, it appears that most
of the rainfall associated with the remnants of the storm will occur
over the southeast third of Arizona - and the higher terrain around the
metro area will be the most susceptible. With heavy rain and
thunderstorms come strong and gusty outflow winds; no heavy rain has
fallen in the local forecast area for some time so there will be a
threat for blowing dust - especially over the southeast valley this
evening and tomorrow. For this reason a PM-10 Health Watch has been
issued for Thursday as a precaution for those with heart or lung
disease.
