Synopsis and Discussion
Particulate levels have dropped back to where they are expected to be
for this time of the year - the low "Moderate" range. Winds are
considerably lighter Thursday than they were on Tuesday where we saw
some of the high Particulate concentrations in months here in the
Phoenix forecast area. Ozone levels also took a step back in the wake
of the passing cold front as much of the precursors were mixed out.
More stable conditions, plenty of sunshine, and increasing warmth the
next few days could allow Ozone to increase to the low "Moderate" range
this weekend. Under high pressure, Valley maximum temperatures will
climb into the upper 80s to low 90s by early next week and stay there
through at least next Thursday. Check back tomorrow for a better look
at your weekend weather and air quality. Have a good day! -J.Paul
