for areas within and bordering Maricopa County in Arizona

Health message for Monday, Mar 19: Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
Synopsis and Discussion
Unusually warm and rather stagnant weather conditions will continue thru Monday with a warm ridge aloft overhead. By Tuesday afternoon an upper level trough and surface cold front will be on the approach from the west, preceded by a significant amount of mid and high level cloudiness. A change to much cooler and unsettled weather is then in the offing the rest of the week. Pollutant levels should be trending downward by Tuesday although an increase in coarse particle (PM-10) levels may occur late Tuesday into Wednesday due to areas of blowing dust generated by winds associated with the frontal passage. -Reith
