Synopsis and Discussion
A cut-off area of low pressure off the coast of central California is expected to slip a bit further south and open up. It will then move east through southern California and into Arizona late Monday into Tuesday. The system will linger a couple days before finally kicking off to the east late Thursday afternoon. Rain is possible across the much of the State, including the desert locations Tuesday through Thursday. Its not clear how much rain can be expected however. Afternoon desert temperatures will decrease from around 70°F Monday to the upper 50s Tuesday and Wednesday. As always, rain will reduce the Particulate concentrations by washing out the atmosphere and stabilizing loose dirt on the surface. High pressure will return late Thursday into next weekend, allowing afternoon highs to rebound to near 70°F by next Sunday under mostly sunny skies. Check back tomorrow for the latest on this pending system. Have a good day! J.Paul
