Health message for Sunday, Jan 14: Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.  

Health message for Monday, Jan 15: No health impacts are expected. 

Synopsis and Discussion

The very cold and dry air mass currently over the local forecast area will begin to modify by Monday afternoon as the upper level low and trough responsible begin to weaken and shift to the east.  Light winds and some warming aloft will result in an increase in stagnation, but will be offset by breezy easterly winds on Tuesday morning.  Highest concentrations of all pollutants should rise no higher than the low-moderate range of the Air Quality Index thru Tuesday. -Reith
