Synopsis and Discussion
The last system did a great job cleaning out the Valley air. All pollutants were well in the “Good” range Saturday, and there shouldn’t be much change the next few days. High pressure is strengthening and will control the Valley’s weather through Wednesday, but it begins to break down Thursday as yet another strong trough of low pressure approaches the region. Particulates will likely climb slightly each day through Thursday, reaching no higher than the low “Moderate” range. Afternoon desert temperatures will top out in the mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday’s system brings with it another chance of Valley showers through mid-day Saturday. It will also drop temperatures into the mid to upper 50s by the weekend. Best of all, the passing cold front will clear the Valley air once again of any accumulating pollution. Bottom line: The Valley’s visibility and air quality will be pretty good through next weekend. So enjoy! Have a great week! –J.Paul
