AIR QUALITY FORECAST FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2007

for areas within and bordering Maricopa County in Arizona
Health message for Sunday, Feb 18: Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
Health message for Monday, Feb 19: Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
Synopsis and Discussion
Plentiful mid and high level clouds are over the area ahead of a weak upper low over Sonora and a developing trough off the California coast. These two features will result in a chance for showers and thunderstorms over the local forecast area on Monday and Tuesday but no significant rainfall is expected. Even so, cooling aloft and increasing winds associated with the California trough will improve mixing and dispersion both days and help keep particle pollutant concentrations below their potential. -Reith
