Synopsis and Discussion
Early morning scattered Valley showers have now been replaced by partly
cloudy skies. The center of the low pressure system that brought more
rain to the Phoenix forecast area and snow to Arizona's high country is
now over central Utah and continuing to move east. High pressure will
move over the region the next few days, resulting in mostly sunny skies,
relatively light winds and desert afternoon temperatures in the mid to
upper 70s Friday through Sunday. All monitored pollution levels across
the Valley were in the "Good" range Tuesday. Interestingly, however,
ozone levels increased slightly despite the clouds and breezy conditions
at times. It's possible that there was some ozone transport entrained
in the disturbance. Look for Particulates to increase slightly each day
through the weekend as the ground dries out a bit. Check back tomorrow
for the latest! Have a great Valentine's Day! -J.Paul
