Water and Wastewater Workshop

presentation.

 

8:00 - 8:30                    Registration

 

8:30 - 12:30                  Basic Water/Wastewater Industry Math

Topics covered will include:

*     Formulas and Conversion Factors

*     Problem Solving Tips (These will be provided throughout the
training)

*     Calculations, Common Sense Solving

*     Understanding Formula Breakdown

*     Working with flows, volumes and basic pumping rates

*     Detention Time

*     Ratios

*     Horsepower

*     Loading Rates (hydraulic and organic)

*     Chemical Dosages and Feed Rates

 

Breaks will be taken at intervals determined by the instructor.

 

We anticipate awarding four PDHs for this workshop.  In the event of
unforeseen circumstances, agenda items and total number of PDHs offered
may change without notice.  Also, workshops often run long.  Please
allow some flexibility in your schedule in case changes occur.

 

Partial PDHs will not be awarded; please plan on attending the entire
workshop.

 

There is no need to register in advance; you can register at the door
the morning of the workshop.  However, you must sign in with the main
ADEQ desk in the lobby and obtain a visitor ID badge, which must be
displayed on the premises.

 

Free parking is available in our garage, located on the NW corner of
10th Ave. and Washington St.  The visitor's entrance is located off
Washington.  There is also on-street parking available on 10th and 12th
Avenues and Adams St.

 

There is no fee for this workshop.
