Water Plant Maintenance Specialist II and Water Treatment Plant
Superintendent
The Water Plant Maintenance Specialist II - salary range $40,456.00 to
$54,641.60 Annually. TWO VACANCIES IN THE WATER SUPPLY AREA AND ONE AT
THE
CAP WATER TREATMENT PLANT. This class is responsible for performing
specialized, journey-level work that involves installing, maintaining
and
repairing water treatment equipment and facilities or water and
wastewater
pump systems. Minimum Qualification(s) Required. Any combination of
education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high
school or GED. Considerable (3 - 5 years) work experience in the
performance of journey-level pump mechanic or welder duties. Please got

Water Treatment Plant Superintendent ($60,403.20 to $81,494.40 Annually)
Responsible for: planning, directing, organizing, supervising, and
controlling the plant operations, maintenance, quality control
laboratory,
and related water treatment plant functions. Any combination of
training,
education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited
college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Sanitary Engineering,
Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering,
Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field. Extensive (5+
years)
professional-level experience at a potable surface water treatment
facility, including three years supervisory experience. Proficiency in
Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
Must
possess ADEQ Water Treatment Operator IV Certification or equivalent
from
another state by hire/promotion date. If equivalent certification is
from
another state, the incumbent must obtain an ADEQ Water Treatment Plant
Operator IV certification within six months of hire/promotion. Must
possess a valid Arizona Driver's License by hire date. Please got to
