EPA's Technology Assistance Centers (TACs) and Tools for Small Drinking Water Systems 

When:	Tuesday, July 18, 2006; Time: 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Where:	Arizona Dept. of Environmental Quality, Room #5100B
Who:	This Web cast is for new and veteran staff and utilities interested in learning more about the Technology Assistance Centers (TACs)
Subject:	TACS are a consortium of 8 universities across the nation, whose purpose is to work with small public water systems to assist them in acquiring and               maintaining long-term sustainability.  Learn how their products and tools can help your system. 


Natural Disasters: Steps a System can Take to Prepare for One

When:	Wednesday, July 26, 2006; Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Where:	Gateway Community College, MA1100S
Who:	The Web cast targets states and drinking water utilities
Subject:	Topics covered include 14 features of an active and effective security program and other tools and training for emergency preparedness and response. 


Multiple Barrier Approach and Sustainability

When:	Thursday, July 27, 2006; Time: 10:00 am to 11:30 am

Who:	This Web cast is for state, tribal and water utility personnel and technical assistance providers.
Subject:	The multiple barrier approach provides "defense in depth" against waterborne pathogens and chemical contaminants that can cause a variety of illnesses and conditions.  Learn how to improve system sustainability to create and maintain effective barriers against these contaminants at each step in the treatment process.
