This is in large part due to Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) fees that take effect that same day. Effective July 1, 2011 all AZPDES NOIs submitted to the department must include a check or money order made payable to Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. NOIs that are submitted without payment will be determined to be incomplete and returned, resulting in permit coverage delays. Beginning July 1, 2011 all NOIs must be submitted with the appropriate fee payment via postal mail, delivery service, or hand-delivery to ADEQ at the address printed on the NOI form. The following is the fee schedule for De Minimis General Permit NOIs: AZPDES De Minimis General Permit - NOI Fee Schedule Effective July 1, 2011 Type of Submittal Fee Amount Single Source NOI $250.00 Area-wide NOI $500.00 Project-wide NOI $500.00 Facility-wide NOI $500.00 BMPP Review (if required) * $1,000.00 * (BMPP review is required for all Area-wide, Project-wide, and Facility-wide NOIs. It is also required for Single Source NOIs for discharge to perennial waters, intermittent waters, Outstanding Arizona Waters, or impaired waters; or if ADEQ specifically requests BMPP submittal.)
