For those planning to attend either of this week's public meetings on the draft 2009 De Minimis General Permit, below is some information on parking at the two locations. Please DO NOT park in the Arizona Corporation Commission lot directly west of the ADEQ building (shown on map as a "No Public Parking" area). TUCSON: There is free parking FOR TWO HOURS ONLY in the Visitor Parking section of the State Complex lot on West Congress, if there is space available. For longer periods, use the west entrance of the City-State Parking Garage (on West Congress between a Circle K and the State Complex). ADEQ has drafted a new DMGP that is planned for issuance following public review and comment. The draft 2009 DMGP and the accompanying Fact Sheet are available on ADEQ's DMGP web page at http://www.azdeq.gov/environ/water/permits/gen.html#demi. A formal "Notice of Public Information" about the new DMGP can be found in the August 28, 2009 issue of the Arizona Administrative Register (Volume 15, issue 35), at http://www.azsos.gov/public_services/Register/2009/35/pubinfo.pdf. As a cost savings, ADEQ is sending this notification by e-mail instead of postal mail where possible. If you would like to receive a printed notice by mail, please contact me.
