ADEQ has approved the Feasibility Study (FS) for the Shannon Road/El Camino del Cerro Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Tucson, Ariz. The FS helps identify a reference remedy and alternative remedies that appear to be capable of achieving established remedial objectives and helps evaluate them based on the comparison criteria.

Information

The Shannon Road/El Camino del Cerro WQARF site consists of a groundwater plume located in Tucson. The plume extends to the north approximately one quarter mile north of Rillito Creek, and is bound approximately by El Camino del Cerro Road on the south, Meadowbrook Park on the east and the Santa Cruz River on the west.

Contaminants of concern at the site are: tetrachloroethene; trichloroethene; 1,1-dichloroethene; 1,1-dichloroethane; cis-1,2-dichloroethene; vinyl chloride and benzene.
