COMMENT PERIOD BEGINS | Proposed Redesignation Request and Maintenance Plan for PM-10 in Ajo, Ariz.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2017, the public comment period began for the proposal to revise the Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP). The revision includes a request that EPA redesignate the Ajo nonattainment area to attainment for the PM₁₀ National Ambient Air Quality Standards. It also includes a request that EPA remove the outdated total suspended particulates (TSP) nonattainment designation for the Ajo area.
