COMMENT PERIOD BEGINS | Proposed Plan for Fort Tuthill Small Arms Range Impact Area MRS in Coconino County
On Aug. 19, 2022, the public comment period begins for the Army National Guard's (ARNG's) proposed plan for Fort Tuthill Small Arms Range Impact Area Munition Response Site (MRS) located in Coconino County, Arizona. The comment period ends Sep. 22, 2022.

ARNG seeks comments on the proposed plan for Fort Tuthill Small Arms Range Impact Area MRS. The proposed plan provides information on how ARNG assessed munitions constituents (MC) and munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) in environmental media at the MRS and summarizes the multiple clean up alternatives considered, how the alternatives were evaluated, and the selection of the preferred alternative. The Proposed Plan identifies Alternative 4: Focused Surface and Subsurface MEC Removal and Land Use Controls (LUCs) as the preferred remedial alternative for addressing MC and MEC in environmental media at the Fort Tuthill Small Arms Range Impact Area MRS.
Site Information
The site is located approximately five miles south of Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona. It was historically used by the National Guard for small arms training from 1928 through 1955 | Learn More >
