COMMENT PERIOD BEGINS | Proposed Air Quality Control Renewal Permit for Pure Wafer, Inc. in Prescott

On July 17, 2022, the public comment period begins for the proposal to issue Air Quality Control Renewal Permit Number 94799 to Pure Wafer, Inc. for the continued operation of Pure Wafer, Inc., a silicon wafer reclamation facility located in Prescott, Arizona. The public comment period ends on Aug. 16, 2022.

Public Notice Information

The facility is subject to the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, Code of Federal Regulations, Arizona Revised Statute 49-426, and the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2. The facility emits the following air contaminants: coarse particulate matter with diameters 10 micrometers or less (PM10), fine particulate matter with diameters 2.5 micrometers or less (PM2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) as hydrochloric acid (HCl) and hydrofluoric acid (HF).
