PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Significant Revision to Air Quality Control Permit for Freeport-McMoRan Safford in Graham County

ADEQ proposes to issue Significant Permit Revision Number 87668 to Freeport-McMoRan Safford, Inc. for amendment of the NOX emission limits for the acid plant of Freeport-McMoRan - Safford Operations facility located in Graham County, Arizona. The facility is subject to the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, Code of Federal Regulations, Arizona Revised Statute 49-426, and the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2. The facility emits the following air contaminants: nitrogen oxides (NOX), particulate matter (PM), particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter less than 10 microns (PM10), particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).
