PUBLIC NOTICE | Highway 260 and Main Street WQARF Site Operation and Maintenance Plan

ADEQ has prepared an operation and maintenance (O&M) plan for the for the early response actions implemented for the Highway 260 and Main Street Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Cottonwood, Arizona.1 The installed systems treat private drinking water wells for volatile organic compound contamination, specifically tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE).

The Highway 260 and Main Street WQARF site consists of two areas of groundwater contamination bounded by Mingus Avenue to the north, Mongini Lane to the south, the Verde River to the east, and South 15th Street, South Main Street and Highway 260 to the west in Cottonwood. The site’s contaminants of concern are PCE and TCE.
