ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

The City of Buckeye applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 3.5 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Sundance Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) to the Phoenix area canals below municipal WTP intakes and all other locations in the Middle Gila River Basin in Township 1 N, Range 3 W, Sections 35 and 13, in Maricopa County, Ariz. The Sundance Water Reclamation Facility is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential, and commercial sources in Buckeye. Sludge is treated in aerobic digester before de-watering on-site and then hauled and disposed of at Southwest Regional Landfill in Buckeye, Ariz.
