Forecast Discussion:

Weather maps and satellite this morning reveal a low pressure circulation right at Arizona's doorstep. As the day progresses and heats up, Prescott's' winds will increase, peaking in strength during the afternoon. After today, northern Arizona really won't be without some form of southwesterly or southerly afternoon winds, at least through Saturday. Winds will lighten up a bit on Thursday and Friday as today's system moves northward; but winds will increase again by Saturday as another low pressure circulation approaches. Saturday and Sunday afternoons will both see their share of breeziness.

In regards to ozone, ozone reached the Moderate Air Quality Index (AQI) category yesterday. Because of that, the ozone forecast for the next several days has been raised into the Moderate (AQI) category. We'll keep our eye on ozone trends each day, though.

Check back tomorrow for the latest!
