Forecast Discussion:
Another day, another dry system comes and goes in the desert southwest. Building high pressure will be the main story for this week, but after a nearby disturbance forcing northerly winds throughout the state of Arizona over the next couple of days. Northerly breezes from today to Thursday will incapsulate the state, bringing possible blowing dust to certain areas.Flagstaff will see a couple changes in wind speed and direction throughout the week as new systems come and go, but as for air quality, ozone will see minimal change through the 5-day period. As we begin to see the AQI reach the mid-40s, it is good to note that we are heading into the Spring season with more sunlight throughout the day. More sunlight equals more ozone! For now, ozone will remain in the Good AQI throughout the week.
