The following report presents information and data related to the exceptional event that occurred in the Yuma area on March 02, 2008. The report provides evidence that the elevated concentrations of PM₁₀ measured at ADEQ's Yuma Courthouse monitor on this date were caused by strong winds that suspended and transported dust that was not reasonably controllable or preventable. The report was submitted to the U.S. EPA on March 31, 2011, in compliance with the requirements of 40 CFR 50.14(c)(3)(iv).
